Old hanzeatic city, with beautiful old town (on Unesco list) but also charming port. Good for visiting churches, viewpoints on towers, walking along the streets with gothic and renaissance houses, but also for having a bread with a fish straight from the boat (Or to try local speciality - labskaus). We regret we didn't have enought time to visit oceanarium...

It's one of the lesser attractive hanseatic cities but they always try to offer more. If you go there, expect little. I would recommend to visit Stralsund for slow travelling. One or two relaxing days are enough to enjoy the city and your life. This is what Stralsund is giving. Most activities, restaurants and visitors are in the old town. You can take every public transport quickly to get down town. The biggest tip is the Ozeanum which has its own bus station.

Stralsund is a really pretty City with a port, an old city centre, many museums, a clean big beach and a direct connection to the pretty isle of Rügen which you can visit by train, bicycle, car or you could even walk there over the impressive Rügen bridge.VirginieGermany

We had a nice room for a couple, the beds very comfy and cosy, the room was clean but not very modern anymore. The bathroom had definitely seen better times, but for a weekend stay it was perfectly okay. The breakfast was a buffet-style with a huge variety of meat and sausages, a bit of cheese, jams, yoghurt and some fruits. Coffee was tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel seems to be new, our room was spotless and the amenities looked unused. The kitchenette has a stove, microwave, nice espresso coffee machine, cups/plates, cookware and utensils. The bathroom has a spacious and clean shower. Note the bathroom door does not have a lock! Breakfast is a buffet with a generous selection of foods, including vegetarian options. Coffee was alright. The staff were very helpful and brought my bags to the room and drove me back to the station when I left - I hadn't realised but they can also pick you up if you request! The attached restaurant has outstanding food and a gorgeous historic interior. I can't recommend it enough and would love to come back!

The hotel is located close to the harbor and Ozeaneum and lots of different restaurants. The room was clean and well furnished. We definitely will stay here again next time.
