Nice fully equipped apartment in a ski resort. The building has two floors and two apartments on each floor. They are quite large, well furnished, and very comfortable. We were the only guests as we stayed off season.

Scandic Valdres is in one of the prettiest locations in Norway, the beautiful town of Fagernes. The hotel is right on the lake, and you can walk all around the area via trails and foot-bridges. The room's balcony overlooked this beauty. The hotel itself is elegant and well-appointed, offering excellent food and a very comfortable stay.

We stayed in the hotel one night during storm 'Hans'. The hotel was appointed evacuation hotel by the local authorities and therefor crowded. Nevertheless staff handled everything very professional and friendly. Even breakfast, although very busy in the restaurant, was of top quality!

Location, staff, breakfast. The staff and management were wonderful. The breakfast was as good as the Grand Hotel in Oslo, except for a temperamental coffee machine. We loved our view over the lake. Fresh air and quiet in this place. 😍

Hotel was ideally placed for me, in a beautiful location. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was superb, with everything you could want. plenty of parking at property, and a wonderful outdoor seating area to enjoy a beautiful day

Location good for Fagernes- we were only passing through to break up a long drive so didn’t have huge expectations. Room was ok. Nice to have heated floor in bathroom. Check in staff very helpful and friendly

Quiet, easy walk to get necessities, everything you need is provided in the cabin, comfortable beds, and an offbeat type of place to stay at! Very happy that I stayed here instead of the hotels nearby.

This hotel was being used as an evacuation centre due to Storm Hans when we arrived. Despite this, the staff were all exceptionally helpful and we had an good stay. It was excellent value for money.

The view is beautiful and there are paths to walk close by. It was a very welcoming place and the staff were very helpful. We’ve since stayed at other Scandic hotels and this is still our favorite.
